Taking place 6 - 18 June 1949, over the course of fourteen days the well known celebrated Royal Choral Society who regularly performed at the Hall, starting from 1924, along with the Hiawatcha ballet music, was first presented in the Hall with scenery, costumes, and dancing. Singers who appeared in these performances Phyllis Bedells, Aubrey Hitchins, Hermione Darnborough, Myrtle Farquharson, Ann Stafford-Northcote, Horace Stevens, and many more.
