Taking place 8 December 1932, Safer motherhood appeal held a concert at the Hall to celebrate their birthday. Composers Sir Thomas Beecham and Dr Malcolm Sargent put on a grand performance, playing symphony's from Beethoven and songs from Eugene Onegin and Hugo Wolf.
